TA1 | Food Texture Analysers

The TA1 food texture analyser is a cost-effective testing system for analysing the textural properties of food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products. It is easy to operate and offer rapid texture analysis with maximum applied force of less than 1kN. This texture analyser is able to perform compressive, tensile, shear, extrusive, puncture and hardness testing on a wide range of products such as measuring the change in these physical properties with respect to the change in process variables, such as temperature, humidity or cooking time.

The TA-1 texture analyzer also offers a large working area for testing a larger size product. The load cell force measuring system has an exceptional accuracy of less than 0.5% and the device is able to measure at a high sampling rate of 5kHz. Users can pre-set the test settings to the device for repetitive testing. Up to 600 test results can be stored in the device which provides traceability for quality improvements.

All purchase of Lloyd instrument includes a built-in test software for data analysis and enhanced performance. The advanced NexyGEN plus data analysis software is recommended for upgrade as it can interface directly with Excel, Words and current operating systems. It also provides capabilities to capture force, distance and time during the tests, allowing the calculation of some textural parameters such as:
