NIDA Electrotechnology Training System

NIDA training systems are delivered through the NIDA Console, 3-position trainer 130ST or 6-position trainer 360ST, equipped with lesson card sets for teaching underpinning knowledge in vocational courses.  NIDA offers a comprehensive training program for teaching underpinning knowledge in electrotechnology courses in modular format. The NIDA Electrotechnology training system is designed for blended delivery and is included with formative assessment tasks and experiments to build understanding. It is suitable for teaching foundation of electrotechnology (UEENEEE104A),  low voltage AC circuit (UEENEEG102A) and electromagnetism (UEENEEG101A) in electrotechnology.

NIDA lessons can be delivered as a stand-alone learning management system or as SCORM-based lessons that can be uploaded into most current learning management system. This allows the trainer to create a consolidated learning environment where students can learn fundamentals, complete theoretical assessments and upload their practical outcome sheets. There are more than 3000 hours of online learning lessons available.

Lessons covered:

  • Ohm's Law
  • Series and Parallel Circuits
  • Power
  • Capacitors and Capacitance
  • Time constant
  • Multimeter
  • Mathematics, include Trigonometry and algebra
  • Magnetism
  • Electromagnetism
  • DC motors and generators
  • Magnetic devices
  • AC circuits
  • Setup and use of an oscilloscope
  • RL, RC and RLC series circuits
  • Resonance
