The environmentally sealed IP67 version of InertialLabs GPS-aided inertial navigation system, INS-U is a new generation high-performance 3 in 1 strapdown system that determines position, velocity and absolute orientation of a device. This is fully-integrated and equipped with Inertial Navigation System (INS) + Attitude & Heading Reference System (AHRS) + Air Data Computer (ADC).
The sensor fusion results in high accuracy measurement for both motionless and dynamic objects. The GPS-aided inertial navigation system, INS-U makes use of single antenna multi-constellation GNSS receiver, two barometers; miniature gyro-compensated Fluxgate compass along with 3-axes each of Advanced MEMS Accelerometers and Gyroscopes.
All of its sensing elements are temperature calibrated. It also comprises total and static pressure sensors for calculating indicated airspeed.
The INS-U device is specially designed for fixed-wing and multi-rotor Aerial Platforms. Its small size, light weight and low power consumption makes it ideal for a myriad of applications. Its advanced and leading-edge technology of sensor fusion algorithm, Kalman filter makes it noteworthy for different motions of Helicopters and UAV.
