HST20 Bending Stress in a Beam

The HST20 Bending stress in a beam training equipment is designed for educational institutes to investigate the strain and stress within the structure in response to the bending load. The training equipment enables students to adjust a load cell that bends a beam and calculate the bending load when connected to the external interface. The entire training equipment kit is available with tools and an instruction manual to perform the different laws of bending stress, strain, strain gauges, bending equation, neutral axis and second moment of area. It requires only one interface (HDA200) to view all the key parameters.

Experimental capabilities:

  • Comparison of theory with experimental results
  • Working with Strain gauges
  • Bending equation
  • Neutral axis
  • Working with stresses and strains and their conversion
  • Second Moment of Area
