HFN11 Brake Drum Friction Apparatus

The HFN11 Brake Drum Friction Apparatus is designed for educational institutes to allow students to perform experiments and study about coefficient of friction. It is self-contained, bench-mounted equipment consisting of an aluminum brake drum with internal brake shoes. The equipment enables the instructor to simulate a real brake system with leading to trailing shoe configuration can be easily arranged. All necessary weights and hangers are supplied with equipment along with the instruction manual for the easy experimental setup. The experiment allows students to determine the variation of tangential force with braking load and obtain the coefficient of friction between the drum and the brake shoe.
