UBF series: Strain gauges for composites
The UBF foil strain gauges are developed for strain measurement on composite materials. With specially designed grid pattern and newly developed gauge backing, the gauges deliver significant improvements in terms of reducing the stiffening effect and creep characteristics compared to conventional strain gauges. However, the UBF strain gauges are not self-temperature compensated. It is advisable to test the thermal output on the dummy specimen prior to starting the measurement.
