New Engine Performance Training System with Student Learning Platform

12-10-2020

Bestech Australia announces the new EM-140S-HY03 engine performance diagnostic training system from Consulab. The next-generation automotive engine performance trainer is equipped with the latest tablet-based ConsulinkTM student learning platform. The new Student Learning Platform promotes student engagement and enhances the learning experience through industry-based case-studies.

This new automotive engine trainer consists of a recycled engine, OEM vehicle harness, electrical power distribution components, fuel pump, and auxiliary systems based on a functional G4FD 2012-2017 Hyundai Accent 1.6L GDI engine. The trainer is mounted on a Mobile stand of 2” tubular steel equipped with four 5” phenol casters. It is also equipped with a fully functioning CAN Bus system.

The new engine performance trainer provides an interactive learning experience to students with a fully functioning CAN Bus system to gain knowledge and experience operating and troubleshooting activities. It can be inserted with faults with real-world symptoms and responds to OEM DTC’s scan tool data stream changes. Students can check whether the engine light operates during troubleshooting. The OEM instrument panel displays all indicator lights. A data link connector Breakout Box is designed for training in educational environments with robust 2mm test pins and LED indicators for all 16 pins of a standard OBDII DLC.

The EM-140S-HY03 training system comprises a self-contained total training package that provides everything needed for engine diagnostics. The training module consists of over 50 student activities, including instructor guides, case studies, fault insertion, diagrams, and built-in system schematics to guide students and instructors. Furthermore, it facilitates student engagement with hands-on, self-paced education.
