DD series: One-sided strain gauges
The DD series strain gauges are designed with the intention to separately measure the bending and tensile strain by bonding the gauges on one side of a plate or a beam. They are effectively used for measurement of structures such as bridges or pressure vessels, where the reverse side of the specimen is not accessible for strain gauge installation. The DD strain gauges are not self-temperature compensated.
