Electrical Uplift Pressure Sensor

The Encardio Rite Electrical Uplift Pressure Sensor Model EPU-20V monitors the uplift pressure of water within the foundations of dams and concrete structures. The electrical uplift pressure sensor consists of a 50 mm diameter pipe, either perforated or non-perforated, designed with adequate strength. This pipe is inserted into a drilled hole in the foundation, extending from the instrumentation gallery to the necessary depth. At the end of the pipe in the gallery, an uplift pressure sensor is connected. The electrical uplift pressure sensor utilizes advanced vibrating wire technology to provide remote digital readings of fluid or water pressure in standpipes, boreholes, and embankments. It functions similarly to the heavy duty piezometer but, instead of a special filter, it features a 25 mm BSP adaptor for connecting the pipe. Water that seeps through internal pores or seams in the rock formations of dam foundations, mass concrete, foundation soil of structures, or reclaimed land soil ascends through the pipe to reach the sensor.
