Elovis µMeter-SLM Light Scanners / Optical Micrometers for Discrete Part Length Measurement

In the production process, the µMeter optical micrometer from Elovis offers continuous non-contact length measurement of discrete parts such as plates, tubes, profiles, bolts, etc. It provides high-accuracy measurement to enable quality sorting of good/bad products and optimize the production process with documented data.

The µMeter-SLM measures the length of the discrete parts based on the optical micrometer principle. The systems consist of a light transmitter array and a receiver array.The measurement is triggered as the objects move through the system between both arrays. The object has to pass in a straight direction parallel to the array as measurement error will occur for twisted and inclined objects.

This length-section light scanner requires no maintenance and is permanently calibrated to measure on almost any type of surface. Two systems are available depending on the length of objects to be measured. The standard µMeter-SLM scanner measure object length up to 5m under continuous operation while the two-parted µMeter-SLM/2 measures up to 15m in a static test.
