F Series: General Use Foil Strain Gauges
The F series general foil strain gauges use Cu-Ni alloy foils for the grid and epoxy resin for the backing. The epoxy resin backing is color-coded to identify materials for self-temperature compensation. Special versions of these gauges are also available for measurement of shearing strain, residual stress, torque, stress concentration and strain measurement on glass or ceramic.
