HFC25 Conservation of Momentum

The HFC25 Conservation of Momentum teaching equipment is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience to students about the basics of conservation of angular momentum and rotational motion. The equipment hardware comprises a bench-mounted vertical board with a bearing-mounted rotating arm and two weights attached with a pull cord. It visually demonstrates the effect of reducing the radius of a rotating mass on the angular momentum.
