S201 Steam Generator and Service Module

The steam generator and service module S201 is a trainer unit used in educational institutes to provide experimental teaching of fundamentals and working of steam generators. It consists of a steam generator constructed from small bore stainless steel tubes to a design approved by RSA (Royal & Sun Alliance) and fueled by L.P.G. The equipment helps students in determining the efficiency of generators, air/fuel ratio, enthalpy of steam, steam quality, and much more by performing various experiments.

The teaching equipment operates on a closed feed system supplied with controls and instrumentation necessary to perform a wide variety of experimental work quickly and safely. Along with the safety of operation, it enables teachers to illustrate the effect of varying the fuel flow rate on steam quality, calculate losses of steam generator, overall heat transfer coefficient, etc.
