YEF/YF/YHF series: Post-yield strain gauges
These gauges are designed with special plastics backing for measurement of large elongation strain up to 40%. They are available in three different series depending on the desired strain limit. The YEF strain gauges are available in single element and rosette plane type for measurement of large strain up to 15%. It is also capable of withstanding repeated strain in elastic range (±1500 x 10-6 strain). The YF series are applicable for strain measurement from 15% to 20%. The YHF series are designed with special alloy for the grid to measure very large strain up to 40%. These gauges are not self-temperature compensated.
