Motion Reference Unit

Motion Reference Units, incorporate gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetic sensors to determine the orientation such as head, roll & pitch, surge, sway, angular velocity and linear acceleration of an object relative to an inertial frame.

These are the high-performing strapdown system sensors which utilize the latest MEMS (Microelectromechanical System) technology making the unit compact and highly robust. The Motion reference unit finds its robustness with the solid-state gyroscope and accelerometers which in turn determines real-time motion measurements.

They are suitable for maritime and hydrographic operations and can be used easily with on-board autopilot systems and controllers for marine-vessel navigation.  Motion Reference Units also find their applications in Cargo transfer and loading stabilization (ROV), where it effectively determines the navigation and motion parameters while loading and unloading cargo equipment.
