Miniature

Miniature load cells are designed for industrial applications with high-capacity loads and minimum space. These are the specialized load cells meant for specific functions and portable applications, where convenience is the prime factor. Miniature load cells are easy to handle, with simple installation and the advantage of compact size and lightweight. Considering the miniature size, the load application button for receiving the compression forces is an integrated part of the sensor. Our miniature and subminiature load cells enable both static and dynamic tension or compression force measurements in very restricted structures in industries and laboratories. Built using stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminium, our miniature load cells work efficiently in most environments. It is a flat cylindrical disc, whose bottom is closed with a cover. The sensor with the smallest height is only 3.4 mm in size, which is nearly equal to the diameter of its connection cable. Despite their miniature size, they are completely robust and suitable for industrial applications with regard to the highly flexible cable connections or the full welding of sensors for a wide measuring range. A miniature load cell works by converting a mechanical force into digital values, that a user can record. Its working principle is based on the Wheatstone bridge, where the load cell comprises of spring elements on which the strain gauges are placed. When a force is applied to the load cell, it bends or stretches causing the strain gauge to move with it. And, when the length of the strain gauge changes, its electrical resistivity also gets changed which in turn changes the output voltage. Miniature load cells have low deflection, which makes them excellent for monitoring fast changes. They are ideal for a wide range of industrial applications such as precision mechanics, fully automated production centres, measuring & controlling equipment, tool manufacturing, equipment construction etc.
